Dr. Ivan Salmons
is pleased to be able to offer excellent dentistry in Sioux City and the communities
in Northwest Iowa, Northeast Nebraska, and Southwest South Dakota. He opened his practice in 1980 at 1855 Indian
Hills Drive, Sioux City, IA.
Dr. Salmons grew up in Charles City, Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa as an undergraduate, where he received
his Bachelor of Science degree. He also attended University of Iowa College of Dentistry to obtain his Doctor of
Dental Science degree.
After graduation, he entered into military service as a captain practicing dentistry for the Army stationed at Fort
Monmouth, New Jersey. He has continued his dental education by completing numerous postgraduate courses in orthodontics
and is a member of the American Orthodontic Society (AOS). He has grown his practice through new dental innovations and technology, such as low-radiation digital radiography (X-rays), that allow him to provide his patients with faster and more comfortable dental care.
Dr. Salmons has always been known by his patients for his gentle and friendly dental care.
He is very involved in the Sioux City community. In his spare time, he has a passion for historic restoration and was a
board member on the Sioux City Historic Preservation Commission. Dr. Salmons has served as president of the Sioux City
Dental Society. He is married with a son and daughter and is a proud grandfather of four beautiful and talented grandchildren:
Ellie, Gabriel, Chloe, and Tyler. When not working, he loves spending time restoring his 1950 Ford convertible.
